(Archived) Feature request: A-z index in Android interfaces

I'd like to see support for shortcuts on the sides of lists which allow us to quickly jump to a particular letter in out list. In particular, the tag list.

A fast scroller, like the one commonly found on address book implementations would be very useful.

I looked around for any previous posts like this for Android but found none. My apologies of this is a duplicate request.
