ColwellCat 0
Question that I can't quite find confirmation anywhere - I'm sorry if it has been covered and my search-fu has failed.I have a personal premium account, which I love. I have a free account at work (I am not willing to have aaaall my personal notebooks etc on my work computer and have not found a better work around), and share a notebook from my premium account to my free work account. I want to upload a whole bunch of "filing", which will almost certainly go over the free account upload limit in less than a month, and so my thought was to upload it using my personal account (I have high hopes to convince my boss soon [and this is part of proof-of-concept] that $45 a year is very reasonable for the extra features, and hey, maybe even move the whole business to EN Business one day, but in the mean time, I'm working with my own resources), to the shared notebook.Question 1) If I upload using my premium account more than the free account limit, will that limit the availability of the content to the free account's viewing of the shared notebook?Question 2) If I upload (via my premium account) using pdf formats - the most convenient option - will the premium account's PDF OCR data/searchability be available to the free account?Thank you in advance. Viewing doesn't count against upload limits.Question 2) If I upload (via my premium account) using pdf formats - the most convenient option - will the premium account's PDF OCR data/searchability be available to the free account?Should be; searchability comes along with the note content, as far as I know. A free account's use of OCR data isn't limited anyways. Link to comment
ColwellCat 0
Hi Jeff - thanks for your reply. I was hoping that would be the case. I just wasn't sure whether its uploading into the free user's account in a shared notebook would count or not.My understanding was that the OCRing of PDF documents was limited to premium only, and that free accounts would only OCR JPEGs. But good to know that the searchability is a note based content rather than account based. Thanks,Cat Link to comment

Moreover, if you are premium, and let your subscription lapse, you should still be able to retain your OCR data -- you certainly retain your notes. And what a pain if you then resubscribed -- then they'd need to go back and figure out what needs reindexing, and do the reindex. Seems unlikely to me.Should be simple enough for you to test -- just get yourself a free account, and try out the scenario. Link to comment
