Outlook 2010 Plugin - change default notebook

Recommended Posts

How can I change the default notebook used by outlook plugin?

I've been using Evernote for a few months and am trying to implement my take on GTD.

I use Evernote at home, at work, and on the move. It works well for me so far.

However the problem I have is that I need to keep work emails organised, for which Evernote is suited much better than Outlook, but company rules mean that I cannot copy emails to the cloud.

So I have a default notebook that collects my private emails, web clippings, and the like.

But at work, I have a private notebook (called Work) and I would like to put work emails into that notebook by default from outlook.

Just now I am occasionally copying email text and pasting to a note, but not ideal.

Is there a way of doing this, or should this be a feature request, or should I simply write my own plugin?

Please don't double post the same content. I deleted your 2nd post.

You might want to look at a discussion abut EN and Outlook integration here which will give you more ideas.

Hi Wern,

Thank you for the information.

I didn't deliberately double post though - there was some glitch after I submitted the message and it returned an HTTP error status (probably a 503, I wasn't paying too much attention at the time).

Hi Ron

Did you ever solve this?I have the same problem. I have changed my Evernote default folder, but Outlook keeps dumping any emails I try to clip in my old Evernote default folder.

Thanks for any help

Jonty
