(Archived) Evernote windows client can't sync

Hi, My Evernote windows client can't sync for a few days. I have googled everywhere but it seems nobody has an exact same problem. So it is:

First, I am in China, but I used the international version(normal version, not the Chinese localized "yinxiang biji".

Second, both my computers have the same problem(one with Win7 + Chinse language and one with Win XP + English languge), but the web client and my android client works fine.

It took a long time for my Evernote to "sync promotions" and then "0% Updating client database". After a few minutes, it reported failed connecting the Evernote server.

I'm having the same problem. Started a few days ago, and gives the same message in the log.

I know it's not a firewall issue because I have an Evernote client on another system in the same network synchronizing just fine.

I also know it's not an internet connection problem because the machine in question has no connectivity problems outside of Evernote not syncing.

 

Have you had any luck in solving this?

 I've had the same issues since this afternoon on two EN 5 computers--a Windows 7 laptop and a Windows 8 tablet. It kept saying that the sync failed because of unexpected behavior on the client side.  I kept trying to reinstall EN on my tablet and moving things around that I think I finally succeeded in making a complete mess out of it. Obviously, it still doesn't work (the tablet, at least--the laptop seems to be ok now but I'm not using it because I fear I will jinx it.).

I did solve my problem, after several emails back and forth with the Evernote support team. 

 

The problem of mine is the router. The router has some problems with HTTPS connection, I restarted the router, and Evernote works fine.

 

I doubt you guys's problem is the same cause though.
