(Archived) Tag problems

I am sorry if I am missing something really obvious here but I cannot for the life of me add Tags from my laptop. The 'click to add tags' area has no drop and cannot be 'clicked'. See screen grab.

What am I missing?

If I'm not mistaken the keyboard shortcut CMD-' (that's the CMD key and the apostrophe) should put the cursor in the tag area of the note, and then you can type the tags you want to add. Does that work?

If you click on the 'i' button on the top right, it will allow you to add tags.

Hi. Here are the instructions from the Evernote user manual (see the link in my signature). Does this help?

Tagging a Note

To add a tag to a note, do the following:

• Open a new or existing note
  
• Click the click to add tags field
  
• Begin typing the tag you want to add. A list of suggested tags will appear
  
• Click the tag you want to add
  
• Hit the return key. The tag will be highlighted in blue
