Bob D 1
I've used evernote now for a year and signed up for premium after the first few months. I love it.My wife and daughter who are both students are now using the free version and I'm encouraging my son to start. My daughter would like to access her notes at school offline on her ipad but can't without premium. It would be nice if we all had the premuim version but 4x $45 or $180 for the family is more than we can afford and I think is too much to ask as a yearly family expense. It's really time Evernote offered family and/or student discounts.Frankly if you want us to stay you'll give us a reason not to look elswhere.I know lots of people who don't use it enough to pay the premium but would if it were less or there were family rates.Come on Evernote, it's time for DISCOUNTS before someone else cleans your clock. Hi. Welcome to the forums. It makes sense that a family might have trouble paying that much, and maybe Evernote will offer some kind of discount in the future. However, another way to look at it is that a family of five (for example) takes up just as many resources on the servers as five unrelated individuals. I wouldn't expect Apple to offer my family a discount for buying 5 iPads, or expect Dropbox to offer my family such a discount either. I think the cost is reasonable, and my thinking is that it is a company worth paying for. That said, there are some interesting options you can consider as a family. For example, if one person (Bob) signs up for Premium, that is $5 a month / $45 a year, but you can share notebooks with your family, and these can be modified by them. So, if Susie and Johnny want to put PDFs of handouts for their classes into Evernote, you can make a notebook for each of their classes. Then, they can dump thing in as they please, without even becoming Premium members. And, they can save their upload allowances for private stuff they want to have in their personal notebooks. Also, don't forget about some of the other interesting options out there, like Premium membership bundled with Livescribe pens and Moleskine notebooks Link to comment

No. Senior citizens have way too many memories! Kids have less, so they take up less space, literally and notationally. Why should sixty-five years worth of notes get discounts? Yikes I say that Evenote ought to offer discounts to everyone! Of course, they kind of do already, with the $45 per year deal, the Livescribe bundle, the Moleskine deal, the MacHeist deal, etc. Link to comment

And more people would drive Bentleys, if only they were less expensive. I think the cost is reasonable, and my thinking is that it is a company worth paying for. I agree. Think about it. You want the company to be successful, right? Especially if you plan on putting a lot of info into Evernote. Everything is relative. But IMO, if you consider EN an essential part of your work and/or school life, $45 (or $180 for the family) per year is very reasonable. Link to comment
johnnymassie 1
Well, this is my second view on the evernote board. The sarcasm and lack of respect for evernote users here has lead me to decide to stick with one note. I will make sure that my 30,000 cohorts are made aware of this issue.- Good day. Link to comment
