(Archived) I've made this request often so I'll just ask any moderator

For the mobile clients, is the ability to perform bulk operations: (notebook, tag, delete) ANYwhere on the development roadmap, or even considered for said map?

This is such a common feature in note apps that I'd imagine it is,but would like a general (nothing specific, no guarantees, understood) indication from Evernote.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to 2013. This Forum doesn't really do moderators, and the experience here so far has been that Evernote don't make (even vague) promises about new features. However the general aim does seem to bring all the clients in line, subject to the inherent limitations of hardware and OS in each case.

Well Evernote 'reps'? do appear on the forum, (why they dont more consistantly is beyond me)....

And I know they dont discuss plans, but I thought I'd take a shot in the dark and ask anyway....thought perhaps one would come to their senses and bat the idea and feasablility of bulk operations around. If not,so be it.

Don't know whether it's that mobile OS's don't offer much in the way of script support, or that mobile developers don't have that sort of expertise; but if you think about it there's not much you can do with anything in bulk while mobile. Time will tell..

I don't know if it's sensible or insensible, but like a lot of companies, Evernote doesn't typically announce it's plans for the future. It's cool to ask, of course, but I wouldn't expect an answer :)

As for Evernote staff, this is a user forum. They read everything, though, and take part in the discussions when they have time.

There are moderators here; mostly we just root out spam and move posts around to more appropriate locations in the forum. The Evernote staff do read everything and do take suggestions, but no roadmaps is the policy, and likewise no guarantees on particular user requests.

Maybe someone like IFTTT will set up a server to do that for mobile users creating an "AppleScript" for mobile devices? It would be awesome if they did and even cooler if they added an API for 3rd party developers to use.
