(Archived) Evernote crashing immediately upon starting

The answer may be in your Evernote application logs (see C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote\Logs.

You should probably open a support request. They'll probably first tell you to do an uninstall/reinstall cycle, just so you know. The application log info may be helpful to the support folks.

are you talking of the metro app or the desktop app? I had the same problem with the metro app, and despite getting no replies here on this forum, I found the problem actually to be from my antivirus program. I uninstalled Norton and everything went back to normal.

I had this issue in Win 7.  If Evernote data is synced to the clould, find the local Evernote/Databases folder (eg. C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote\Databases).  Move every file elsewhere and let Evernote resync back to your computer. DON'T TRY THIS WITHOUT FIRST SAVING YOUR ORIGINAL DATABASE FILES IN CASE THIS DOESN'T WORK.
