Photo not allowed when recording a book note on iPad

When recording a note using Evernote 5.1.0 on iPad iOS 6, it is not possible to take a photo, like I used to do in past versions. The screen appears in front of the photo button and it is not possible to access, only if the recording is ended.

I will appreciate anyone's help.

i've had the same issue since the upgrade. This is a major problem with the way that I use evernote for my university lecture notes...

Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable way to resolve the problem so for now, I have to just record and take notes, when a slide comes up that I need to take a photo of I quickly switch to my camera (just the regular ol' Ipad camera) to take the picture, than I insert them into my notes after I have finished the voice recording.

This process is not great, but it is working ok. hopefully someone from evernote will address this issue, as I know it's been posted about a number of times with no response from EN

on a side note-when handling my notes this way I too get the synch error that everyone is talking about. Boo.

This works in Audionote - take photos while recording audio - so, if that app can do it, Evernote should also be able to do the same, as the hardware seems capable to do that gracefully.
