(Archived) close and save (checkmark) button location

The current close and save button location is quite inconvenient.

I use evernote with Nexus 7 and hold it usually in portrait mode. When typing my hands are located at the bottom of the device. So, it's somewhat inconvenient that I have to move my hands to close&save the note. In many cases I find it's easier just to hit "home" button at the bottom and switch back to evernote.

I think just moving the button to the bottom left corner would greatly improve usability of evernote on the tablet (it's fine on the phone). Perhaps make it an option?
