(Archived) Latency Issue

Recommended Posts

I am using ReQall to send voice notes to my Evernote account. As I'm writing this email, I see the note on my desktop and web accounts, but don't see the same message on my Blackberry when I access Evernote. What is the reason for the time differential between the various platforms?

How are you viewing it on the Blackberry? Are you using our mobile web UI (http://www.evernote.com/m), or are you grabbing your notes via IMAP on your mail client?

Evernote's desktop web UI and our mobile web UI are showing the exact same thing, although the layout may be different. So there shouldn't be any notes on the desktop web that you don't see on the mobile web. (You may need to refresh the web browser on the phone, perhaps...)

Yes it appears to be a refresh issue on the mobile client. Even though I logged out and logged back in couple of times on my Blackberry, it did not refresh my notes list until I manually refreshed. I can't say whether it was a coincendence that the refresh got the item to show or as I was just not patient enough. I am using the /m version on my Blackberry.

One other side note, I have to enter my login and password twice on my blackberry to get into the mobile client.

Ok, thanks for the follow-up.

The joys of mobile web browsers ... it appears that the BB browser is taking some liberties with caching web pages locally. We'll see what we can do on our side to discourage it from doing so a little more vigorously.

Thanks

Hi

I am having problems lately syncing though a satellite connection. I have been syncing via satellite for over a year but have just started having problems around the middle of this month. has there been a change with the Evernote servers?
