(Archived) Tags section has disappeared from sidebar

I use Evernote 5.0.1 for Mac. The Tags section in the left sidebar has disappeared entirely. I can only access this section using View->Tags at the top of the screen. Incidentally, I do not have any tags, but now that I want to add some, I cannot do so conveniently. Help!

Never mind; I'm stupid. Solution: add a tag.

I noticed in a friend's tag-less account yesterday that it disappears from the sidebar if you don't have any tags and then appears again once you start tagging. Add a tag to a note and then you'll be able to put it back in the sidebar.

ETA: Or just play with it until you figure it out.
