I'm using Evernote on a MacBook that has a built in Multi Touch trackpad and I use a Magic Trackpad with my desktop too. I think it would be a clever idea (and I hope an easily implementable one too) to allow the tag list in the top row to be scroleld with the trackpad scroll feature when the mouse cursor is over the tag line.
Maybe considering a two line tag row is also an option as for me usually 3 or 4 tags appear if I don't have Evernote on full screen what I rarely do as I prefer to see other things happening in the background in different windows - like downloads, mails, etc.
