(Archived) Tags not Appearing on Client's Shared Notebook

I'm an Evernote premium member sharing a Notebook with a free version client. I've created notes and several tags. Those tags appear on the notes themselves, but do not appear in the "tags" left menu bar (or the "tags" page that opens). We're both on Macs, using the latest version of Evernote.

How can I make tags on a shared notebook appear in the "Tags" screen?

I have a similar question: Can the free client create new tags in a shared notebook?

We use Evernote in the office and have one premium user, the rest are free. We are using Evernote for Web, PC, MAC, Androids and iPhones. It appears to me that the free users are unable to create new tags, is this the case?

If so, will Evernote Business allow for this when it comes out?

trialropp, I don't believe that Evernote allows clients to add tags to a shared notebook. Only the original notebook creator can add and edit tags.

If you search for that issue, it's been addressed in several threads.

So this isn't a bug? It's an actual missing feature? Anytime frame for this implementation? I was hoping to use Evernote to share with a client. Without the tags on their end, it's essentially worthless.

Can we get a status update on this? Does "on the way" mean the next beta release, or "maybe Summer 2013"?

I was very excited about introducing my business partner to Evernote by sharing a notebook with him - but if we can't share responsibilities for organizing stacks of notebooks or at least tagging, then we're not actually looking at the same information.

*frustrated*

I'm a little frustrated by this as well, Tommy.

How does Evernote Business handle this?

The only work around I've come up with so far is to use one user account for the information. With a premium account and fast user-switching, that's not that big of a deal. Obviously not ideal, but it works.

Tags from joined notebooks have been available as of 5.0.3. The current release is 5.0.4.

As a sharee, I can add tags that the notebook owner has already created, but I can't create my own tags.

It does look like my request in the OP has been answered in 5.0.3
