Level 5* Metrodon 2,183 Posted November 15, 2012 Level 5* Share Posted November 15, 2012 I presume you are right clicking and trying from there - it doesn't work, I think it's a bug.Try using the New Notebook button in the top left. Link to comment
Peter Kruty 0
I had a some problem. When you switch for example to Atlas view and choose New notebook in menu, pop-up will be displayed with option to define local notebook. Link to comment
Phil Dean 150
Confirming this is a bug and will be fixed in the next release. You can still create a local notebook if you are not in the notebook view by clicking file, new notebook then selecting local. This is a workaround but not optimal. Thanks for the feedback Link to comment

cjgennaula 0
As stated before, the FILE->New Notebook->choose local on dialog works in the Atlas View. I'm glad this is being fixed. This would be a deal breaker for me to use Evernote since I do not want all notes out in the cloud.Thanks.Chris Link to comment
Rider John 0
Thanks for the info Phil Dean. I was really upset with this bug; I thought my relationship with Evernote was over. The work around and the bug fix will save it! To me this is an absolutely essential capability for Evernote and I think you guys and gals should rush a patch out for this. Link to comment
