Mickprue 1 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 When trying to sync Evernote on my Mac, I get an error and McAfee detects a trojan virus. It is working to my PC, iPhone and iPad. I can't figure out which note is the offending one. Any ideas? A couple screenshots are attached.
DeanO 0 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I'm having the same problem. Sophos keeps detecting malware threats, including one that won't go away: Mal/Resdro-A, which is apparently in the Evernote "Container" folder./Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/Evernote/accounts/Evernote/******/sync-downloads/primary/resource-50493240395CC5D91E3C1983F8B451F9-32024Other viruses/malware get detected in Sophos whenever I try to sync my data on Evernote. Syncing never finishes, so I have basically abandoned using Evernote on my office computer.Any suggestions?

The version you get directly from Evernote installs in another folder. Maybe that will help. And, as an added bonus, it tends to have more features and get updated sooner http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/16062-uninstalling-everrnote-for-mac-os-x/#entry173494
DeanO 0 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 GrumpyMonkeyThanks. I hadn't thought of that. Will give it a try.
