Seth G. 3
HiI've started putting all of my records into Evernote. I began thinking about how secure my account is. What precautions does Evernote take to make sure my account isn't hacked? How much access do they have to my account? Is are my receipts and records safe in Evernote?Thanks!-Seth Link to comment

Level 5* FactMan 196 Posted November 9, 2012 Level 5* Share Posted November 9, 2012 Also, take a look at http://blog.evernote.com/. This was just updated yesterday, AFAIK. This forum recently got hacked, but it was not the passwords/account information that was affected - so I have to believe that Evernote takes security VERY seriously. Also, your notes are very secure if you do not put them in notebooks that are synchronized to the web ... I have some notes that I do synchronize, but the majority I do not. Just make sure you have a reliable back-up program that you use frequently! Link to comment

We are all concerned with this issue. When it comes to security, I prefer to get the information straight from the horse's mouth at Evernote and not from other users on this forum..Here are some Evernote approved postings. Unfortunately, some are rather antiquated and could use some significant updating. (There might be other sources for Evernote security support.)See Factman's link mentioned above (and the importance of regular backups)Also:For Evernote Business (when it is released)https://evernote.com...ty_and_privacy/Evernote's 3 laws of data protectionhttp://blog.evernote...ata-protection/This one was a good one, but it was written back in the Dark Ages.http://blog.evernote...y-and-security/And you might find some gems in their technial bloghttp://blog.evernote.com/tech/ Link to comment
