(Archived) Suggestion for Atlas

Hello,

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I can't find another. I'd like to make a suggestion for the Atlas feature as it relates to Evernote beta 5.

Why does the geo-tagging only allow automatic tagging from the place we are at the moment of tagging.

For instance, I clip a web page with information about a potential vacation location. I don't want to geo-tag with my actual location. I want to do geo-tag with the location of the vacation. I've been doing this in Google maps for years now but the process is still incredibly messy. This simple solution in Evernote would open up a whole new world of organizing information on a map, where I want it on the map. Thanks for taking my suggestion into account.

I can't edit the 'Location' field. Am I missing something?

A little late to the game, but you could try http://noteplac.es, a 3rd party webservice (actually, a midnight project of mine). You can set location in there (and let NotePlac.es guess locations based on the content). You can also clip maps and StreetView photos from there.
