hughjc 19
I still use a handwritten notebook for notes and sketches, etc. Every two or three months I scan each months notes into a single pdf and put it into my "Notes" notebook in EN. This works great BUT my handwriting is terrible and there is no chance of any OCR.Is there a way to go back through the note later in EN and add summary notes or topic points in different places in the scanned notes that I can search for later?ThanksHugh Link to comment

Some here have responded that they think "notes about notes" is a bizarre and redundant concept, but I don't find it odd at all. Making it independently searchable would be the icing on the cake. For a really nice implementation of note metadata, check out MacJournal. In addition to Comments, there's a "Star" Rating (another thing high on my wish list), a Status field, and more. Given the many different things that people use Evernote for, these additions could only help IMO. Link to comment
Candid 167
Depending on what devices you use, you can get PDF annotators which should allow you to add comments that are typed to documents. I use mine with my Android devices, but I think you might be able to get them for larger devices as well. Link to comment
