I can see how it can be helpful but its not helpful in situations where I correct the title to what I want and then delete some text in the note and it then changes my highly descriptive title to whatever the first line now is. The Windows client takes the first line of the note unless you specify something else - there's no option to change that, but a way to avoid problems is to type the title as the first line anyway. Evernote haven't gotten around to defaulting the insertion point for a new note into the title bar yet, so it's quicker to type the title and then the content into the body of the note anyway.
