(Archived) Copying a template into multiple notes

I am trying to copy 1 template to multiple notes. These templates are for observations of employees. Does anyone know how to copy 1 template and then select 20 people, hit paste, and then they are there?

You didn't mention which Evernote client (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, etc.) you are using. That can make a difference.

I don't know of any easy way to do this in the Windows or Android client. Copy note results in exactly one copy.

You could probably do something like this using the import/export stuff, with some clever batch or PowerShell programming (details left as an exercise for the clever):

* Make a text file containing the names of the employees

* Export the note that you want to copy to ENML

* For each employee in your list, fetch a copy of the exported note, and insert the associated name

* Write out the modified note template to an Evernote import directory.
