(Archived) Web clipper not clipping in Chrome 22 (latest)

Greetings.

I'm a premium member.

Starting today (as far as I can tell), web clipping is not working for me in Chrome (OSX 10.8.2, Chrome version 22.0.1229.79).

When I click on the Evernote icon, the dialog pops up and I can choose the area of the screen to clip. But when I choose either "Save Article" or "Save Full Page", I get an overlay with the scissors icon and the message "Clipping [page title]..." but the process never finishes. In contrast, "Save URL" works as expected.

Hi ablock,

Can you post the URLs you are trying to clip but it fails on. That would be helpful.

Am having the same issue in Version 22.0.1229.79, and was having it in the previous version 21.xxx that I was running as well.

I'm having exactly the same issue - running chrome 22 (Version 22.0.1229.79 m) and Win7 64. The process starts but it never seems to finnish. It took me about 6 hours of work to notice which wasn't great either

I've tried all the obvious, sign in and out,reinstall and the like - nothing. If

1) Does this happen on all URLs or some specific ones?

2) If you can, please post the URL where the failure is observed.

3) What specific Windows version are you using. Home, Ultimate, Professional etc.

Right now we've not been able to reproduce this issue so any more details would be helpful.

For me, it isn't all URLs, but it is a sizable %. Seems to be more common when clipping from pages that have been open for a while, and yet refreshing and trying again doesn't help. Do not have access to specific URLs at the moment, but it has happened at Gilt Taste, the kitchn, and other blogs. Incidentally, I am using chrome for Mac, not windows.

I used to use the native clipper for Firefox for Mac, and never had an issue. Then I switched to safari, and had to use the web clipper, which I didn't like, but which worked. I do like the functionality of the chrome clipper - when it works - but would still prefer a native clipper, as that has been by far my best user experience.

Having the same issue the past few days...use Chrome - version Version 22.0.1229.79 , Windows 7...

It just seems to hang... last 2 examples I tried -

Each time I go to use the "web clipper" on a new page - I am always asked to sign in...never did this before - signed in once - and was me forever...

Ah - just see another thread with this running.........checked my profile seems to be fine - ie logged in and working - can use all other apps on my browser that I use....
