Level 5 Jackolicious 808 Posted September 14, 2012 Level 5 Posted September 14, 2012 Hey Mac forum!I'm happy to announce a new Mac App Store version! 3.3.1 should fix some common issues with Fujitsu scanners that were caused by sandboxing issues. Please note that if you don't have the App Store version of Evernote, you do not need an update and therefore we won't be sending you one!Enjoy!
DonQuixote 1 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I am running Evernote 3.3.1 on Mac OS X 10.8.1.I had to reboot my computer for an issue, afterwards, Evernote desktop would not let me log in. I can login over the web or on my iPhone.I am not sure if it's related but after the reboot, I ran the Disk Utility to repair permissions. For some reason, on Mountain Lion, this screws up permissions on many folders, including in ~/Library. I went thru and reset all the permissions but still same issue.I read thru the older postings and saw some references to using all lowercase username etc. I am doing that but still having problems. I tried using the email or all lowercase username but no lock.I am really missing my Evernote app. Please help.
DonQuixote 1 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Actually, I just realized that after rebooting, I ran the s/w update and installed the latest Evernote from the app store. So, I must have been using the older version. This may be an issue with the latest version.
DonQuixote 1 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Problem solved - I downloaded version 3.3.0 and it's all working.Looks like there is a bug in the 3.3.1 version desktop for Mac.
xiance 1 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Thanks, but why there's no standalone download? Level 5 Jackolicious 808 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Level 5 Posted September 26, 2012 Thanks, but why there's no standalone download? AppStore could be extremely hard to access in some places.Because 3.3.0 direct-download users don't need an update. 3.3.1 was released to specifically fix Mac App Store related issues.
Elmo 5 Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 unfortunatelyPrint>>PDF>>Save PDF to Evernotedoes not work in 3.3.1another sandboxing issue?I contacted Evernote support and they suggested a return to 3.3.BTW I canot get Fujitsu scanner to work either.
earlscroft 1 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I'm running Evernote 5.0.2 (400649) with A Fujitsu S1500m. I've downloaded the non app store version of Evernote, but I still get the same issue reported in this thread. i.e. Fujitsu's Scan Manager converts the document to a PDF, it saves it on a local NAS drive and calls the Evernote application which comes in to focus. However the document never appears. I have to manually drag the PDF from the NAS and drop it on to Evernote. At that point it imports perfectly.Any ideas?Mark
pbDiver 0 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Mark - I get the exact same thing when trying to scan to Evernote pdf. Running evernote 5.4.1 on my iMac, with an S1300i, it scans, saves to folder, seems to initiate some sort of activity to Evernote (as I see another icon bounce in the dock) then nothing happens. If I scan as a JPEG it works fine. Anyone have any ideas?
pbDiver 0 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Nevermind - I fixed it. The driver for the scanner needed updating, the one on the install disk wasn't the most up to date available, so a quick check for an online update & install of the new driver fixed the problem.
