(Archived) Why are pictures taken with iSight so small now?

Am I imagining things or have the pictures taken with an iSight camera gotten smaller? I took a snapshot of a piece of paper that had about six email addresses on it and it was so small I couldn't read them. To make matters worse, I couldn't figure out how to zoom in or make the thing larger. What's changed?

Recent OS changes have modified the photo taking process. We're aware of the issue and working on it.

Yes, please fix this one up ASAP - very difficult to take iSight notes that are of any value as it is right now.
