(Archived) how2 disable 'smart type' correction

It is most frustrating to have Evernote change my input, via its not so smart 'correction' as I type

How to disable that feature, so what i type is what i get to see, rather what Evernote thinks I want to type

Given that many of us make notes with abbrebiations and lingo of our making, in addition to typing regular words, which Evernote changes despite what we type...appreciate tips how to disable such unhelpful feature

I am using android phone and amazon kindle fire

What OS and client are you using? On my Android client, the predictive text is all Android and nothing to do with Evernote - switching off predictive text via the phone menu solved lots of problems...
