(Archived) Cross Hair Snapshot

I'm apparently missing something obvious. When I select Crosshair Snapshot from the Skitch menu, I don't get any crosshairs. My cursor disappears. I manage to randomly select a part of the screen, though not the part I want. I'm currently using Mountain Lion but the problem also occurred with Lion. Easy fix? Or time for a support ticket.

Just realized this only happens when using Chrome. It works fine in Finder.
