Sometimes, when I create a new Notebook on Mac, I receive an inforfomation that are too many notebooks, and there are no sync with the web account. Are there any restrictions regarding the numbers of notebooks?

Yes, you are correct, there is a limit on the amount of synchronised notebooks that you can have:

Currently you are allowed up to 250 synchronised notebooks, including stacks (a stack counts as one as well)

Hi. Welcome to the user forums!

I believe the current restriction on notebooks is 250, and you can have 100,000 notes in them. My recommendation would be to consider a combination of notebooks and tags. This thread might help you out with the process.

I just have two notebooks. It is a little on the extreme side of things, but it works for me, and it is at least a possibility.

It would also be helpful if Evernote provided a more user-friendly error msg.

What is the current mac one?

The windows one is:

"You cannot create more than 250 synchronised notebooks

Please delete some of the existing synchronised notebooks and try again"

If that is the error msg displayed for EN Win, then I don't understand the OP's question. This msg seems clear enough to me.
