craftsbycheri 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I apologize if this has been answered before. But I have a free account that I just recently started using. I have used 30 mb of the 60 mb. It says that it will reset in 26 days. Will I lose the files I have saved this month or how do I save it so that it can still be accessed on different computer and my phone? If I have to save it all to my computer then EN won't be much help to me. Thanks for any help.Cheri
BurgersNFries 2,407 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 No, you will not lose what you've already uploaded. However, I shudder at the thought of having the only copy of all my data in someone else's cloud. So it's best to keep a database on your computer & back that up, as well. JMO.The files you've uploaded to the EN cloud are accessible from any device either via the web client or the computer/device client. WRT phone, please search the board on "offline notebooks".
craftsbycheri 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 I have copies on my laptop also as well as on an external hard drive. But I started uploading some of my data and websites I have found I want to check out more thoroughly to EN. I want to be able to access that when I am traveling or not at my laptop. That was why I was wondering if each month if the previous month's notes were still available or deleted to make room for the next month. Thank yo so much for your help.Cheri

Welcome to the forums!I assume you are talking about using a mobile client, like your phone or tablet. In my case, I work primarily on the iPad. Every day I turn on the computer at some point, and Evernote automatically syncs my files to the local drive. So, there is no effort involved, and this creates a local backup of everything on the Evernote servers. I think this is probably the best way to go forward -- use your mobile device, but install Evernote on your desktop/laptop as well to sync and make backups. In addition, regarding the monthly usage and your data, don't forget that if you upgrade to premium you get a lot larger upload amount. If you decide to just do it for a month, everything you uploaded that month remains in Evernote. In other words, storage is cumulative, and you never lose it. So, no worries about that!
craftsbycheri 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Thank you both so much. I have EN on my laptop and my phone and nook at this time. I may add it to my husband's ipad so when we are traveling and I use that I can still access my files. Thanks again.Cheri
