For all of the photo requests on this forum - here is a gem:

From Phil Libin CEO of Evernote:

Looking ahead, given how well the Food app has done, Libin wants to take some of that effectiveness and move it into new apps, specifically around photos. That’s not to say he wants to make the “next Instagram” but to incorporate more image capabilities into more places: “We’re working on making the experience better for photos. We want to use evernote for informational documents, but then with food, you can see us moving into a whole new set of products away from productivity and more into lifestyle,” he said at LeWeb.

One caveat however. This the same Phil Libin that said two years ago: "All notes will get a "due date" field in the next couple of versions."

This is all well and good, but Evernote might want to start with achieving a solid, robust, basic handling of images (pictures) to make acquiring and using photos in the base EN clients more usable:

  1. Provide basic image options when snapping a photo from Evernote using EN iPhone.
    Current Problems:

    1. Image is stored at max resolution resulting in excessive file size
    2. Image is often stored in the wrong orientation
    3. Fix Image Rotation Issues in EN Win
      1. Rotating an image using EN Win causes nearly a factor of 10 increase in file size
      2. Process takes an excessive amount of time

IOW, before you start extending and enhancing the use of photos, make sure you have a solid foundation first.

I'd like to see a little more enhancement to the text editor. The WYSIWYG editor for this forum has more options than the editor for the evernote interface. Frankly, there are a number of basic options that could use reinforcement before branching off into the "social" arena (of photos), which frankly, I'm not interested in.
