(Archived) HELP: Loan statement text changed in Evernote

Hi all,

I am relatively new to Evernote and brand new to the forum. I noticed today, when importing a loan statement into Evernote, that the important text (account number etc.) appears to be encrypted. See attachment...

When I open the .pdf outside of Evernote, everything is fine (and readable). Has anyone else run into this problem? Is this something that's happening in Evernote or does this have something to do with the statements? I have tried 5 or 6 other statements from the same lender with the same result. Any thoughts?

I have never had this happen in any PDF in Evernote. It might be specific to the PDFs you receive from your lender. Come to think of it, your lender might even have scrambled the text on purpose to provide some protection against identity theft by automated means or such.
