Here are the things I think that the Favorites bar needs for me to start actually using it instead of the sidebar:
1. Selections made in the favorites bar should also be shown in the sidebar. They are both the same way of filtering and so they should be tied together and always reflect the current state of filtering.
2. There should be a link on the actual favorites bar called "Clear filters" or "Reset". You shouldn't have to right click to be able to do it.
3. "Hide unassigned tags" should be a tickbox either on the favorites bar or at the top of the list of tags.
