(Archived) HOWTO: Download Evernote outside of the Apple App Store

Hello,

I would like to use Evernote on OSX Snow Leopard. Its a work/enterprise MacBook Pro, and the IT department block access to the Apple App Store.

Is there another way to download Evernote?

I wonder too, since I deleted the the latest RC because it was too unstable, but I couldn't find the lastest stable release to download anywhere.

So I wound up downloading the last beta (3.1.0 Beta 2) which is stable enough, although not sure how well it plays with Snow Leopard:

For what it's worth, 3.1.0 beta 2 was as good for me as any of the recent versions, whether the "stable" 3.0.6 or the "unstable" 3.0.7 or 3.1.0 betas.

I believe this is the latest public release. After installation I'd run the auto updater just to be sure.
