HOWTO: Print (just) my entire tags list

ampressman

Idea

I would like to review all the tags I have assigned and maybe cull the herd or combine some. It would be a great help to be able to print out the entire list of tags as it appears in the left-hand part of the screen, where all the tags are list and in parentheses how many items carry that tag. Is there any way to do this directly? Or is there a way to export just the tag list? Thanks for any suggestions.

That would be a nice feature, but unfortunately, there is no Evernote system to export and re-import the list of tags.

To make misplaced or misspelled tags easier to spot, I try to add a Parent tag and a 3 character prefix to the children tags.

It keeps them grouped and sorted.

COMPANY

COM-Carbonite

COM-Ford

COM-NetFlix

COM-Target

COM-Vanguard

EMPLOYMENT

JOB-Abcdef

JOB-Ghijkl

JOB-Mnopqr

GOVERNMENT

GOV-County

GOV-Fed

GOV-State

GOV-Town

And other prefixes like FAMILY (Fam), INS (Insurance), PER (Personal), etc.

I believe Veritrope has a script for that. Check out www.Veritrope.com

Thanks for this lead, Lindsey,

I spent some time on the site, and couldn't find the script. Can you possibly guide us to the page?

Thanks!

After poking around some more, I discovered this work around:

Paste all the tags you want to export into a single note.

Open that note, and select one of the tags, then ‘select all’
Copy and open a word doc.
Paste the clipboard into the word doc.
Do a find replace that replaces commas ‘,’ with a return
Now you have a list of your tags.
