(Archived) REQUEST: Favorites bar customization

mrgoerend

Idea

I wish I could get more dropdowns on my favorites bar. I want to put a Contains dropdown so I don't have to have 3 different items on the favorites bar (Audio | Files | Images) and I'd like Source on my favorites bar so I don't have to have 4 different items (Web | Mobile | Desktop | Email)

So, my feature request is to be able to drop items on top of each other (stacks?) in the favorites bar. At first, I didn't really get the favorites bar, but now it's one of my most used features.

Makes sense. Probably involves a more heavy duty change underneath. Do you want to be able to specify the name of the overall drop down? Like having the parent called "Contains" and clicking on it reveals Web, Mobile, Desktop, etc. ideally we could give you one sorta like iOS. I'd want to get away from the feel of creating and naming folders

Maybe you could take a look at FireFox. FF allows you to create and name "Folders" on the Bookmark Toolbar, and then put bookmarks in the Folder. I find this works extremely well. FF will even sync these Folders across all computers that your use FF on.

I think Chrome also has this feature. If you make Evernote work like FF and Chrome that would probably make Evernote more intuitive for a lot of users.

User-defined Folders on the Favorites Bar would be very powerful.
