enoteguy 0
It may be beyond the scope of evernote to support all camera metadata, but it should at least respect the date and time the photo was taken. In the iPhone app, you create a "saved photo note" and evernote uses the time the note was created rather than the time the photo was taken. Doesn't work for receipts or other date-sensitive images. My two cents. It would be nice if the rest of the camera metadata were supported too. Original file size, camera etc. Useful stuff. engberg 89
Thanks for the suggestion. We do pull "EXIF" metadata from images in various cases, but we hadn't looked at this for the iPhone app with existing photos. Thanks Link to comment
JoW 8
I agree - it would be really useful if some of the other EXIF data could be preserved (particularly time) - also eg when emailing in a photo taken with the iphone app. Link to comment
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted August 22, 2009 Level 5 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Adding the photo's metadata could conflict with the purpose of the note. For instance, if you are emailing a reminder to meet some friends at the local State Fair next week and you include a photo of the fair from last year. I can think of many other scenarios that could use photos taken at another time and place. Link to comment
JoW 8
True - I don't think it should replace the 'date created' field or whatever, just the info should be somewhere available. Link to comment
