(Archived) UPDATE - Unable to upgrade Mac client from Mac App Store

Phil Dean

Idea

Evernote Mac users who installed their client from the Mac App Store are currently unable to upgrade their client to the latest version. When users attempt to upgrade, they see an error dialog after the update is downloaded. We are working with Apple to try to resolve this issue as soon as possible. For now, please continue to use your previous version. We apologize for the confusion.

Currently we're recommendings users to just wait. Most users should be able to use 3.0.5 still, and at I'll be checking email over the weekend to see if there's any resolution or action needed from our side.

There are some things others have done, but because we haven't dealt with this before we haven't tested them so I can't officially recommend them.

sounds good. thanks. i upgraded to the beta. it's nice, and so far seems to be a big improvement on the previous interface. i'm not a big sharer, at least in terms of twitter and facebook, so some of the prominent new elements are wasted on me. but, otherwise, it is a good step forward.
