(Archived) Evernote fails to convert my picture to handwriting

Hi all, I've been having problems getting Evernote to convert a picture of a note to handwriting. Also, this is my first attempt in using this feature.

Here's what I did:

1) snapped a picture and emailed it to Evernote using inbox and tag names.

2) waited about 5 to 10 minutes before syncing

Now, here's what's wrong:

3) Evernote syncs and downloads the picture, instead of converting it.

Was there any step I missed? I've tried sending to Evernote and synching but the same happens.

evernote does not convert images to text. According to the Evernote site: "Evernote makes images containing printed or handwritten text searchable. As a Premium user, your images get processed faster." What this means is that:

1. It will take some time to process the images. We don't know how much, but it will be faster for Premium subscribers.

2. The image will look exactly the same (to your eyes), but it will be searchable (optical character recognition has been run on it).

If you wait a while longer, you should start seeing that image appear in search results. Hope this helps!
