(Archived) Feature Request - Checklist or Strikethrough

shana

Idea

I would really love it if, when editing a note, you could select several lines of text and click a button to have checkboxes appear next to each line item. Similar to the check box feature that you have now, but a lot better because you could add the checkboxes all at once.

Another way to solve this problem would be to bring back Strikethrough. I don't know why text editors don't have this feature anymore - it was really great.

Thanks!

I second both requests. In iOS version there is an option to add strikethrough formatting to a text - I don't understand why there is none in the desktop version - this seems quite inconsistent UI editing - not to mention iOS should have more restrictions (if any needed by development) not the more complex OSX version.

Yes, the lack of striketrough in the editor on the OS X client is indeed puzzling. However, you can striketrough text with the keyboard shortcut ⌃⌘K.

You cannot blame the dev team for not making their client's interface interestingly inconsistent :)

(Edited a little bit for clarity)
