(Archived) How to re-organize (ie un-nest) tags..?

I am having a re-think about how I organize Evernote, and I currently have some tags that are nested that I want to move to the top-level, ie to un-nest them.

To nest them you drag and drop, but I cannot for the life of me get them to un-nest.

Any tips?

You just drag them to the top of the tag list.

That doesn't work, in the Mac app or the web version, I've tried it lots of times.

But, right after posting my question I did discover that right-clicking on the Tag presents a Move Tag to Top Level option which I hadn't noticed before and has solved it.

Yes, I should have qualified that as the Windows client. Sorry.

It's helpful to include which client you're using, too, when asking questions.
