(Archived) Undo Notebook delete

Hi,

I just accidentally deleted my main notebook. undo doesnt work. Is there any way to get it back aside from sorting out the main notes from the trash?

I am working with the mac version.

AFAIK, no. That's why there's a warning (at least on the Windows client).

If you happen to have a current backup, you could restore from that.

You could try contacting customer support. Oh, and try paying a little closer attention to confirmation dialogs in the future, eh?

The original notebook is displayed when you look at the notes in the Trash - you should be able to put them back pretty easily.

When I'm doing something important like deleting data, I do tend to read the messages that the app flashes up at me.

While I can sympathize with your situation, I would suggest you keep current backups and read the dialog boxes. That's what they are there for. Admittedly, I have been known to click through them. But when I do & it causes something to muff up, I realize the fault was my own.
