(Archived) "New Note" Opens a full window -- why?

Each time I use the hotkey to open a new note in Evernote, it brings forward the actual note entry window itself and along with it a full-sized window that blocks what I was looking at before I executed the hotkey. How do I set Evernote to not bring the main window forward?

I don't believe that this is currently supported.
