(Archived) Need to back up a note briefly, than bring it back to EN in a local notebook

I'm doing a clean install on my iMac, and I have all my passwords in EN note which is in a non-synced notebook for obvious reasons. I want to put this note in the cloud just long enough to reinstall my system, then bring it back down to the local notebook again and remove it from the cloud. Does anyone know how to do that? I would encrypt it, but I once tried to encrypt a password in EN and it just erased it, so I don't trust that I'll get my passwords back if I go that route. Any suggestions on how to do this safely?

Copy the note to one of your notebooks that is synced. When you have reinstalled your machine and sync'd evernote - move the note to a local notebook.

Don't forget to backup all your other local notes....
