mrgoerend 89
http://russgoerend.com/2010/12/in-early-september-i-wrote-post-about.htmlSome things that have changed since that post:I no longer do a notebook for each student. Notebooks are great for sharing, but we didn't have any parents that wanted in on that part of the projectI now use two notebooks for each class. As I co-teach two of my classes, I can share those notebooks with my co-teachers.One notebook is for artifactsThe second notebook is for groups and notes Link to comment
gbarry 2,658
Notebooks are great for sharing, but we didn't have any parents that wanted in on that part of the projectThis sort of surprises me. I wonder what the specific sticking point was? If you teach in a Title I school I could see the technology adoption rate reduced because, well, families just may not have access to tech, unfamiliar with tech entirely, or because of language barriers if you're teaching in a bilingual environment. If anything, sharing directly and with a strong enough translation tool would do wonders for reducing any language barriers.
