(Archived) Support for RTF format

Hello!

I was wondering if there are any plans for RTF support? (both in copy-paste, and drag and drop)?

We don't plan to add direct support for RTF files into the note database, but we are investigating options for storing generic attachments on notes, which would allow RTF to be added as a simple attached file.

Ok, was just thinking that this would be good for making notes from office products, Wordpad and similar, which puts text into the clipboard "Rich Text Format" field.

The feature could be activated by doing "paste special" instead of normal paste, and then one could choose from "paste as pure text", "paste as html text", "paste as RTF text".

But well, if you aren't planning on supporting it, you aren't planning on supporting it

Generally speaking, the support for RTF in copy-paste and drag-n-drop operations could be supported in the future, though it would require using some RTF-to-HTML conversion library -- something that requires investigation.

Yea, its neccessary to make a rtf to html parser unless its also possible to save the note as rtf as well.

but rtf to html parser dont have to bee very hard, depends abit on how much you choose to include. (I've already done a ANSI to RTF to HTML parsing application. http://dlogs.net/logedit/ ) If any interest at all, i could send the code, as the application is no longer developed, and its target audience is shrinking by the minute after MMO games got big..)
