gabbsmo 0
I'm trying to use evernote but the web clipper fails miserably when it comes to clipping pages that are a little more than just a simple article. For example this page: http://www.systembolaget.se/5042Try to clip the part that the describes the wine and the result really looks nothing like what's on the page. Copy and paste into evernote is a little better but it messes up the typography which lead to some layout quirks. Link to comment
jbignert 473
What Web Clipper are you using? ( Safari, Firefox, IE or Chrome ), based on my tests of this URL you are probably using Firefox. There are a few settings that affects the preservation of styling for a clip in Firefox:- Chose the 'Preserve all styles' setting or the equivalent in Swedish for best results. - Use 'Send clips to web' Our next release of Firefox native clipping will have improved style preservation. The Beta extension on this forum seem to have no such option. Link to comment
kmblue 0
Sadly, they seem to have forgotten that the clipping feature is the primary way in which people interact with the system. Link to comment
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted October 22, 2011 Level 5* Share Posted October 22, 2011 the latest release of the safari extension does seem to have been improved - have you tried it? Link to comment
MikeH 17
I have the same problem. I tried the new clipper, and indeed, I have to admit it's much better now.I'd still like the clip-as-PDF option that used to be available (on Mac OS, anyway), but this is a big improvement.Mike Link to comment
