(Archived) Permission - prevent device from sleeping

Why does Evernote require the permission "prevent device from sleeping"? Seem like the device still goes to sleep when I have Evernote launched. Not sure if this permission is needed.

The device still goes to sleep, but it is "woken" up for sync every 30 minute or the set up time in the settings.

we need that permission to keep the phone awake when you record an audio while note composition.

Some android phones are not good enough to continue audio recording in sleep mode.
