(Archived) The web clipper bookmarklet works great, but is a tad slow

I hope that with time, it can be improved so that it be loaded faster...

I use it many times for overcoming the limitation that the Mac Desktop clipper has regarding keeping the HTML linkage from Firefox. I dont care for formatting because most time i won't use Evernote for keeping entire webpages saved. I just want to save chunks of texts, with links, for reference.

i have the same gripe about the slow-loading webclipper but this is much more pronounced on the iphone. the simplest way to clip webpages on the iphone is to use the webclipper and the time it takes to load is often prohibitive and this is with wifi and fast 3g connections.

may i recommend a 'minimized'/fast webclipper that does the processing in the background and then dumps it in our (paying premium account) inbox?

very true. the send to 'instapaper' and the one for 'read it later' are both very quick. this would really add value to evernote on the iphone as well as the mac.

Any updates on the webclipper to speed up on the iphone?

Can there be a clipper made to just dump a page to the inbox without all the tagging and loggin in? or open a iphone safari page that doesnt need zooming in?
