contacts list - make notes sort alphabetically?

First, which client (Windows, Mac, Web, iPad, Android, etc.) are you running on? (It's usually better to post in the forum appropriate to your client)

On the desktop clients (Windows, Mac), you can sort your notes by Note title. If your contact notes have titles of , , then that should work. Other clients, I am not so sure about.

Ok, so I figured out how to sort alphabetically (see post above) BUT doing this makes every notebook sort alphabetically.

Is there not a way to make these choices notebook by notebook? I mean, it may be good for contact and recipes but other notebooks I want to see things in date order.

For crying out loud. Any ideas, anyone?

No way to do it by notebook. But, for crying out loud, it takes seconds (literally) to switch between sort options. NBD.

That may be true, but when I need information on my phone I don't want to have to root around looking for a way to change my sort options.

Suggest you post this in the appropriate section, then. Personally, I add my contacts to the contacts section in my phone. I also normally add them to EN for posterity. But I rely upon the contacts section of my phone for phone number/address information on my phone.

Ditto. I settled on Google Contacts some time ago. Good enough after working out best practices and the most likely contact manager to be available on any platform. Push to my Touch works great.

That's what I use as well. (iPhone 4G). Also nifty b/c it integrates with AT&T navigator, should I need GPS directions.

Hey guys you can get both worlds now..

I've created an application called KustomNote.com at http://kustomnote.com. The web app allows you to create note templates picking fields to be used with different types like date, numbers, even movies and music. One feature you're looking for is also included and that is Google Contacts. You can link multiple Google accounts and doing so, creating and editing your templates you'll find a new field type created for every google account connected. Using this field in creating notes it will autocomplete using your Google contacts address book and it will also generate a snippet with emails, Google maps to addresses, links to Facebook and twitter as well if they are connected somehow to that person directly in your address book or on their GooglePlus profile.

Please check it out guys and please let me know if I can help with anything.

Cheers,

- Hussein

How to sort your Notes in alphabetical order in Evernote on your PC...

1. Open Evernote and select the Notebook you wish to sort.

2. Go to VIEW on the menu bar and select LIST.

3. On the information bar that reads: Created, Updated, Title... Click on the word "Title." The dark little arrow (next to the word "Title") should now be pointed ...upward.

4. Go back to VIEW on the menu bar and click on "Snippet View." All your entries will now be sorted in alphabetical order.

ENJOY!!

I think this was covered in post #4.

BTW, it does not need to be in snippet view.
