Mac OS and many programs indicate whether items in a list are sorted in ascending or descending order by the orientation of the little triangle next to the column heading. I just noticed that Evernote 3.0.0b1 doesn't do this, at least in list view. The column is headed "Notes by Date Created", and its triangle always points down regardless of the selected sort order.
This just fooled me badly, as I couldn't imagine where my brand-new note had disappeared to. It would be lovely if you followed standard practice for this.
(Oh, and clicking the little triangle normally inverts the sort order.)
