evermullah 8 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 hello, here, on the win-EN-client,i'd like to manually add geo-cordinates to a note, which i took from: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/de/wiki/Radioteleskop_Effelsberg=> 50.525,6.883611 => Max-Planck-straße 28, 53902 Bad Münstereifel, Deutschlandevery time, i enter those coordinates into EN, EN changes them to 50.525000,6.882800 but this are NOT the correct coordinates and EN opens google maps with WRONG coordinates.=> 53902 Bad Münstereifel, Deutschland2 questions:1)how to avoid that maybe intelligent behaviour of EN that changes my input to useless sh^H^Hcoordinates?2)what format do i need to enter? reading this, did not help, because getlatlon.com gives me cooridnates which are also changed by EN to another location.
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted June 23, 2011 Level 5 Posted June 23, 2011 When it comes to storing longitude and latitude accurately, the Evernote client is not ready for prime-time. Unless you are using a GPS enabled mobile device to enter notes, I found the best solution is to not use Evernote to track locations.
evermullah 8 Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 When it comes to storing longitude and latitude accurately, the Evernote client is not ready for prime-time.well, i see this with many functions/features in EN...quantity in features seems to be more saleable than quality in features.its a pitty. and it sucks. using EN now over a year, i still think, its a good tool, but using it wastes so much time to find workarounds and dirty tricks.
